Build a River of Hope™

Our Redmond WA project has been completed. October 8, 2011 dawned pleasant and sunny and we knew that for sun-starved Seattleites the sunshine would prove to be a lure with which we could not compete. Three volunteers began painting at around 11:00 a.m. Six and a half hours later, we had completed all the major stuff, leaving the doors and trim for another day.

It was so good to get the project to this stage. The new roof was on, ensuring a dry and comfortable winter for Adrian and the painting, at least the major part of it, had been completed. Adrian’s father remarked on the difference a bit of paint made. We used three gallons of primer to cover the new plywood under the eaves, and fourteen gallons of our main color. The following week, we worked on the trim, doors, and other accents.

We wish to thank the paint store in Redmond for donating all the paint, painting supplies, and the sprayer. We also want to thank the roofing company and its employees for the wonderful efforts they made to remove and replace the roof. There are so many people out there who gave freely to make a tangible difference in the life of one person.

Many of you have asked to remain anonymous and we will respect your wishes.

We thank you from our hearts and with much gusto. Thank you for helping HopeRiver.Org fulfill its mission; Connecting Communities to Resources™
